Urethane Insulation

Urethane is a spray polyurethane foam (SPF) system intended for installation by qualified contractors trained in the processing and application of SPF systems, as well as the plural-component polyurethane dispensing equipment required to do so. VanderWerff & May Builders Inc. knows that every job site and set of ambient/substrate conditions are different; therefore, one set of process settings may not work for every situation. It is our responsibility to evaluate the on-site conditions and then determine the appropriate SPF reactivity and process settings.

The benefits of urethane include:
• Superior insulation performance
• Controls moisture infiltration
• Controls air infiltration
• Non-fibrous
• R-Value 7.5 per inch*

* “R” means resistance to heat flow. The higher the R-value, the greater the insulating power. The amount of insulation will depend upon the climate, the type and size of your building and the fuel use patterns. If you buy too much insulation, it will cost you more than what you will save on fuel. To achieve proper R-values, it is essential that this insulation be installed properly.
